Leonie Jarrett is new to the world of creative writing.
Until 2022, Leonie’s writing was confined to the legal and business world. After running and selling several businesses over the years with her husband and raising four children, Leonie and her husband decided that it was time to retire, travel more and be a tad selfish!
Given that Leonie loves to travel and she loves to write, she decided to try and combine travel with travel writing. She has been published in many publications including: Mamamia, GoWorld Travel Magazine, Citro, NZ Herald, We Are Explorers and the Scenic “Wonder” Magazine.
Leonie has also had some memoir pieces published by Mamamia, Business Insider and WellBeing Magazine.
A life-long dream of Leonie’s has been to publish a book. Her début children’s book (aimed at emergent readers) “When Harry Got Lost” is being published by Nightingale Books which is an imprint of Pegasus Publishers.
Leonie has written several children’s picture books and she hopes to see one or more of those stories in print too!
Leonie has had short stories and flash fiction published by Café Lit and Imspired. Some of her stories have featured in The Best of CafeLit 13 and Imspired Magazine Volumes 13, 14 and 15.
Leonie lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband of more than three decades, two of her four adult children and her two Golden Retrievers. Her beloved dogs are named Albus and Harry. Harry’s real-life adventureis the inspiration behind her upcoming novel.
