Suzanne Miller followed a non-traditional path, dropping out of high school in her teens, only to graduate from Yale Law School in her 30s. Her law degree opened doors to a number of interesting job opportunities. She has served as Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity, handled child protection cases as a state Assistant Attorney General, managed a large urban renewal project, and co-owned several nature-based early learning centers with her adult daughter.
Recently retired, Suzanne lives in a lovely seaside town in Connecticut, USA with her tuxedo cat, Jameson and Giant Schnauzer, Molly. She relishes playing badminton with her twin grandsons, traveling, kayaking, hiking, gardening, reading, and most of all getting back to her early love of writing. She meets regularly with a group of talented women writers who share their wit, wisdom, and work. They hold her to account, keep her spirits up, and spur her on when she gets stuck staring at a blank page.
Suzanne writes flash fiction, creative non-fiction, and personal essays. With her newfound time and freedom, she began submitting her work to literary magazines. To her delight, she has had several successes since her first ever publication by CafeLit this past July. Suzanne aspires to move beyond her spare writing style and someday pen a full-length novel.
