Charles Joseph Albert is an author of poetry and fiction in San Jose, California, where he lives with his wife and three sons. He holds a doctorate in nuclear physics and works as a metallurgist, but he has always pursued creative writing on the side. His fiction tends to explore the metaphysical, and the story published by CafeLit is no exception. He has published about three dozen of his poems and a dozen short stories in print and online magazines such as Amsterdam Quarterly, Apeiron Review, Poppy Road Review, Assisi, Ibis Head Review, the Magnolia Review, the Literary Nest. He currently has two novels, a short-story collection, and a poetry collection seeking representation.
